Acronis True Image 2020 Pdf

Acronis True Image is a software product produced by Acronis that provides data protection for personal users including, backup, archive, access and recovery for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems. As disk imaging software, True Image can restore the previously captured image to another disk, replicating the structure and contents to the new disk, also allowing disk cloning. If Acronis True Image WD Edition ceased running or produced errors, its files might be corrupted. To repair this problem, you first have to recover the program. To do this, run Acronis True Image WD Edition installer again. It will detect Acronis True Image WD Edition on your computer and will ask you if you want to repair or remove it.

I recently installed the latest Windows 10 on my pc with a new drive, and found that the win10 search index was working fine - showing 'item indexed' count of 27,288 - and I was able to successfully search folders and subfolders for my files. However, after installing the latest Acronis True Image 2020, the win10 'item indexed' count was compromised. After the Acronis install, the Win10 'item indexed' count went down to 25,072, thereby missing many files. And my searches in folders are now NOT successful - many files are NOT shown.

The attached files shows one folder's actual pdf contents; another file shows the search returning no pdf files in that folder, and another file shows the reduced win10 'item indexed' count of 25,072 (happens after installing Acronis).

To remove Acronis True Image 2020 from your Mac: 1. Open the Finder, and then click Applications. Find Acronis True Image 2020 in the list, and then drag it to the Trash. 1.5 Activating Acronis True Image 2020 To use Acronis True Image 2020, you need to activate it via the internet. Without activation the fully functional product works for. I re-analyzed my problem and found the solution and it was NOT the Acronis True Image 2020 as I originally thought. I think that I was mislead by focusing on the declining search index count. The real issue was that a windows search for pdf files in a folder returned nothing on my recently installed windows 10, 64-bit, desktop (see specs below).

Charles, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but I am not aware of any such issues being reported by any other users via these forums and have not seen any indexing issues on my own computers, so difficult to understand why this should be causing an indexing problem on your computer?

I can only suggest that you raise a Support Case direct with Acronis to see if they can give you an explanation for this issue.

In the interim, please check whether Acronis Active Protection is involved by turning this off from the AAP page of the ATI 2020 GUI. If this does show a difference see below:

I would recommend reviewing the AAP panel in the main ATI 2020 GUI where you should aim to have 0 Monitored Processes shown as it is most likely that having AAP monitoring anything will increase the CPU count.

If you see any value higher than 0 then click on the link for Monitored below the count and review what is being monitored and make a decision about each item.

Most processes should be able to be set to 'Allowed to start' with the minimum number being Allowed to modify your backups.

In additional to potential issues caused by AAP, see the following documents related to the interaction between ATI and security applications.

KB 36429: Acronis Software: exclude program folders and executables from antivirus and other security programs

KB 46430: Acronis Software: Making Acronis Products Compatible with Antivirus Software

Note: ATI requires that it is installed using Administrator privileges / from an Administrator account in order to operate correctly.

I'm not sure I understand what is being described. he files actually missing, or is this just a problem with indexing?

If you uninstall ATI does the problem go away, or has there been a permanent change?

There have been recent problems with Search introduced by some recent Windows maintenance. Doe you know for sure that your problem was caused by the ATI installation?

I re-analyzed my problem and found the solution and it was NOT the Acronis True Image 2020 as I originally thought. I think that I was mislead by focusing on the declining search index count.

The real issue was that a windows search for pdf files in a folder returned nothing on my recently installed windows 10, 64-bit, desktop (see specs below). The pdf folder search was working before I installed the the latest free Adobe 'Acrobat Reader DC', version 20.006.20042. After installing that, the windows pdf file filter was changed to 'PDF Professional Filter', but no pdf files were found after rebuilding the index, and then searching for pdf's in a known folder containing pdf files. I did find references to an iFilter 11 intended for older 64-bit windows systems. It's title is 'Adobe PDF iFilter 11 for 64-bit platforms'. I downloaded and installed it. It changed the windows pdf file filter to 'PDF Filter'. After rebuilding the index again, I can now search for pdf files in my folders. Problem solved... Sorry for any confusion...
